Discover the hidden hiking treasures of Oahu’s lush volcanic rainforest. This moderate 2-mile round-trip guided hike is a rare opportunity to explore 75-acres of sacred land that is exclusive only to the guests of Bike Hawaii. Experience the majestic beauty of Bike Hawaii’s towering 200-foot private waterfall, cross through tranquil streams, picturesque pools and view ancient lo`i (rock terraces) and lush tropical vegetation of Hawaii’s paradise.
With average year-round temperatures of 80 degrees (cooler in the rainforest), refreshing trade winds and two volcanic mountain ranges on this Hawaiian island, Oahu is a hiker’s paradise. Given the popularity of hiking, and since most all other hiking companies feature public trails and multiple groups, the secluded personality of the rainforest is often compromised. As a locally owned and operated company with a passion for Oahu’s volcanic rainforest beauty, Bike Hawaii takes great pride in knowing its’ guests are experiencing something uniquely their own and that will not be overcrowded by other tour companies and the general public. Bike Hawaii’s exclusive rainforest adventure is more than a hike; it is a journey through the past and present on Bike Hawaii’s own remote 75-acres of private Manoa Valley rainforest. This is a mild to moderate hike over dirt trail. Hiking time is approximately 1.5 hours. This adventure is available on its own, or can be combined with additional adventures on the same day.

Probably that best thing that we did on our trip to Hawaii! We chose to do the kayak and hiking tour. Our tour guides name was Matias, I think. Not sure how to spell it. But there are only 2 tour guides in the whole company so he was the one from Sweden.
Anyway he picked us up from the Hilton Hawaiian Village right on time at 9am. From there we went to a small shop to get some free coffee and macadamia nuts. He said he just likes to stop there to get free stuff, kinda felt like a local thing.
From there we went to the beach. We weren’t really sure what we were getting ourselves into, all we new was that we were going to kayak somewhere. Well when we got to the beach house they have, we found out we were going to kayak to a remote island out in the pacific called Chinamens hat. I am not sure how long it took us to get there, but it was the coolest thing. A girl in our group flipped her kayak. We were kayaking into some pretty big waves, so if you are afraid of that kind of thing this isn’t the trip for you. Once my friend flipped her kayak Matias came over calmly and helped her get back into her kayak. It took a while becuase her kayak filled with water.
Once we got on the island we ate the lunch that was provided by the tour company. It was just a sandwich, chips, cookies, and pop, but it really hit the spot after that kayaking.
For the rest of the time we were pretty much left to our own to explore the island. It was so cool, I felt completely alone. The hiking was a little sketchy since the rocks were really slippery.
After that we to the kayaks back to the beach house. The views were the best we saw the entire time we were on Oahu. The mountain range the we were kayaking in front of was the one from the opening scene in Jurassic park, so just picture that, but 10 times cooler because you are there in person.
So if you are looking for a great adventure go see these guys, and I promise you will have a great time.

Went on the mountain bike tour which takes place on the Kualoa ranch in the Ka’a'awa Valley. We met the van at the kualoa ranch house, and hopped in. They had all the bikes strapped to the top of the roof. We stopped by a WWII bunker with some movie information inside on the way, which was a nice ‘tourist’ attraction to check out before we started the ride. The bikes were decent Kona ones, the derailers could have been adjusted a little better. The bikes were used, but not too beat. He gave us each 2 bottled waters, and a pack of trail mix (good idea) and a little fanny pack to hold the water. We started off by riding up a dirt road up the valley. The guide let us ride off the road as much as we wanted just in the grass, etc. We got to see a few spots that movies were filmed, which was cool. The road wasn’t super smooth, a little rough so it wasn’t too boring. The views of the valley were beautiful. Once we hit the top, you round back and start heading back down the valley. On the way down, we veered off on a single track trail that was pretty cool. It could use a little maintenance though. It was more fun than the dirt road though. We basically road the single track back to the van, parked at the entrance of the valley. Once reaching the van, we had lunch (chips, drinks, sandwhiches, cookies). They set you up pretty good under a nice little awning for lunch. After lunch we took off. Overall, a great trip, a nice way to see the Kualoa ranch and valley were all the big movies were filmed. Friendly guide (Jeremey). I think this was better than the horse / atv tour, but then again I like bikes. It was a decent workout. If you are lookin to do some riding, its worth checking out. We paid 125/each, I think it could have been 80-90 though. |

Bike Hawaii Tours came highly recommended. I had a cycling friend visiting from Japan for the Honolulu Century Ride. We contacted Bike Hawaii Tours and they arranged for an outstanding private mountain biking outing. I was very satisfied and arranged for another mountain biking outing for my family. Look them up and give them a try. |

Bike Hawaii’s mountain bike guided tour was nothing less than spectacular. I am an avid mountain bike rider and was thrilled by this ride. The scenery was magnificent, our guide Jeremy was gracious, and the whole experience far surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend this expediton. It was well worth the price and I would not hesitate to do it again!!! |

This tour by Bike Hawaii is the best thing we have done on Oahu. From the rainforest to the reef, our guides John & Mattias shared there island home. The guides were all experts in Hawaiian geology, flora and culture. Lucky you live Hawaii! If you are just visiting Oahu, experience it like the locals live it, Bike, Hike & Sail. |

“I HIGHLY recommend this trip. The guides are professional and knowledgeable and really make sure you enjoy the ride based on your skill level. I did quite a bit on my first trip to Oahu and the Big Island, and the very best part of my trip was the mountain bike ride with Bike Hawaii. Thanks so much guys for the incredible experience.” |
